Paper and Cardboard Recycling

Paper and Cardboard Recycling at Buckhorn & Duncansville Facilities

The IRC accepts a variety of paper and cardboard for recycling at both the Buckhorn and Duncansville Facilities.

Materials must be separated into the categories listed in the table.  It is important to keep different materials separate to ensure recyclability.  Our facilities are source separated facilities, which means that the recycling collected needs to be separated into the individual commodity streams.  The recycling at our facilities is directly bailed and sold on the recycling markets. There is no one to sort recycling that has been mixed together at our facilities; when recycling is mixed with trash it all becomes trash.  Please pay attention to ensuring separation when using our facilities.
