Recycling and Compost Facility
The Duncansville Recycling and Compost facility was opened in 2006 by the Blair County Department of Solid Waste and Recycling in partnership with the Blair County Conservation District. It is located at 16906 Dunnings Highway/Old 220 just south of Inlows. Our facility is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and our material is tested regularly by the Pennsylvania State University to assure that no hazardous constituents are in our finished mulch or compost. The IRC continues to operate this facility in partnership with the Blair County Conservation District.
Recycling Membership Keycard
You can purchase a Recycling Membership Keycard at our facility from 12:00PM to 5:00PM on Tuesdays only. The cost of the keycard is $35 and is renewed annually. Once a Recycling Membership Keycard is purchased, the household recycling drop-off area can be accessed at any day or time. This membership does not include yard waste drop off. Duncansville Facility Hours
Open Tuesdays Only
12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Drop-off yard waste, brush, and keycard sales.
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Mulch, topsoil and compost loading
It is a self serve drop-off for yard waste and brush
Closed on holidays and on holidays that fall on a Tuesday.

Recycling Drop-off
The items below may be recycled at our Duncansville Recycling and Compost Facility (we are not permitted to accept electronics at our Duncansville Facility). Membership is required for this drop-off. Please call the IRC at (814) 942-7472 or email us at Education@IRCEnvironment.org for additional questions regarding the drop-off. The recycling is a self serve drop-off and residents should be able to unload their recyclables.
