Event Set for October 22, 2016 and volunteers are needed!
Residents are invited to recycle their tires, electronics, batteries, boxes, bags & books at our upcoming special material recycling collection. The event includes Freon containing appliances. This multi-material recycling collection will take place on Saturday, October 22 from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine). The event will be held at the Peoples Natural Gas Field, Home of the Altoon Curve. Residents will enter the VIP parking lot near the ticket booth and exit at the bottom towards Frankstown Road. All materials collected at the event will be recycled!
Car tires 14" or smaller: $2/each off of the rim & $4/each on the rim
Tires wider than 14": $6/each off of the rim & $8/each on the rim
Larger tires please call for pricing...
Farm Tractor Tires: $20/each OFF RIM ONLY!
Freon Containing Appliances
Freon containing appliances will be accepted for a $5.00 - $10.00 fee. The Intermunicipal Relations Committee will be on site to process the Freon.
Computers, Towers, Laptops, Monitors, Televisions, and computer accessories will be accepted free of charge.
All other electronics may be assessed a fee of $1.00 - $5.00. Please click here to see the electronics pricing.
We will be accepting the following items free of charge:
Eyeglasses - Used and new eyeglasses for the Lakemont Lions Club Lion's Recycle For Sight program.
Batteries - This includes lead acid batteries such as car batteries and all other rechargeable batteries.
All types of Boxes - This includes cerel boxes, shoe boxes, cracker boxes, and other similar food packaging, cardboard boxes, poster boards, gift wrap roll, toilet paper and paper towel rolls.
All types of Books - This includes paperback books, magazines, Reader's Digest, hard back books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and college textbooks.
Plastic Bags & Film - This includes bubble wrap, clean shrink wrap, and plastic shopping bags.
