The Borough of Hollidaysburg offers curbside collection of leaves for residents in the Spring and throughout most of October and November every year. Residents will be able to bag their leaves and yard trimmings for collection. Residents can always take these materials to the either the Buckhorn Recycling & Compost Facility or the Duncansville Recycling & Compost Facility. Materials should be placed at the curbside for collection by 7:00 a.m.
Collection Zones for Spring, Summer, Fall, and Christmas tree collections.
Monday Zone: Pick-ups will occur on the East of Penn Street including the East side of Penn.
Tuesday Zone: Pick-ups will occur on the West of Penn Street including the West side of Penn.
Spring Collections: Monday, April 3 - Tuesday, May 23.
Summer Collections: June 12, 13, 26, and 27. July 10, 11, 24, and 25. August 14, 15, 28, and 29. September 11, 12, 25, and 26.
Fall Collections: Monday, October 2 - Tuesday, December 5.
Christmas Tree Recycling
There will be a borough wide curbside collection for live undecorated trees on January 9th & 10th and January 16th & 17th for 2017. Trees can also be dropped off during regular business hours to either the Buckhorn Facility located on Black Snake Road or the Duncansville Facility located on Dunnings Highway.
- Paper bags only!
- NO tape! Please do not tape bags shut.
- Simply fold the top of the bag.
- NO trash! Be certain bags do not contain metal, plastic, or other trash.
- Bags should weigh less than 50 lbs.
- Brush should be smaller than 3" in diameter and 6' in length. Brush and small twigs should be bundled with string or twine
Crews willl not collect whole trees, root balls, bags that are tied, or bags that weigh more than 50 lbs.
