Blair Township Yard Waste Collections

Blair Township offers curbside collection of leaves for residents in the spring and throughout most of October and November every year.  Residents will be able to bag their leaves and yard trimmings for collection.  Residents can always take these materials to the either the Buckhorn Recycling & Compost Facility or the Duncansville Recycling & Compost Facility.  

Spring Collection:  

Monday and Tuesdays:

April 6th and 7th

April 13th and 14th

April 20th and 21st

April 27th and 28th

May 4th and 5th

There is a 40 lb. limit per bag

*The leaves are to be placed curbside in brown paper lawn waste bags. * 

*Twigs and branches are to be securely bundled and tied with twine. *

 

Fall Collection: 

Monday and Tuesdays:

October 5th and 6th 

October 12th and 13th

October 19th and 20th

October 26th and 27th

November 2nd and 3rd

November 9th and 10th

Christmas Tree Recycling

Live undecorated trees can be dropped off during regular business hours at either the Buckhorn Facility located on Black Snake Road or the Duncansville Facility located on Dunnings Highway.

Reminders

  • Paper bags only!
  • NO tape!  Please do not tape bags shut.
  • Simply fold the top of the bag.
  • NO trash! Be certain bags do not contain metal, plastic, or other trash.
  • Bags should weigh less than 50 lbs.  
  • Brush should be smaller than 3" in diameter and 6' in length.  Brush and small twigs should be bagged in brown paper bags too.

Crews will not collect whole trees, root balls, bags that are tied, or bags that weigh more than 50 lbs.
